Terms you will meet on a card or in these pages. Where a term has a page of its own, it is linked.
Scoring
§Conviction score — our 0–100 due-diligence score across six independent channels. What the evidence supports, not what the price will do. → [Conviction score](/conviction-scores)
§Tier — the band a conviction score falls in: GOLD (70+), SILVER (50–69), MONITOR (30–49), or SKIP (below 30, never sent).
§Channel — one of the six things the conviction score measures: codebase, security, social, narrative, deployer, holders. Each has its own ceiling.
§Rug penalty — points *subtracted* from a conviction total for a finding of harm, rather than merely not added for a lack of evidence. Capped at −50 combined.
§Trade label — the momentum read, separate from the tier: MOONSHOT, HOT, DEGEN, GAMBLE or RUG-RISK. → [Trade labels](/trade-labels)
§Evidence label — on a filter dimension: `measured`, `safety` or `preference`. Tells you whether we have demonstrated an edge, are protecting you, or are simply letting you express a taste. → [Filters](/filters-and-settings)
Safety
§Rug / rug pull — the team pulls liquidity or dumps the supply, taking the price to zero.
§Honeypot — a token you can buy and cannot sell. The exit is welded shut.
§Round-trip cost — what a simulated buy immediately followed by a sell gives back, expressed as the percentage lost to fees, tax and price impact combined. The single most useful number on a card. → [The safety stack](/safety-stack)
§Balance control — a privileged code path that lets someone move tokens out of your wallet without your approval. Different from a honeypot: you can sell, they can also just take it.
§Wash trading — fake volume. Tokens leave a wallet and the proceeds arrive at a router or treasury instead of the seller, so the chart shows trades nobody actually made.
§Proxy / upgradeable — a contract whose code can be replaced. Every measurement taken against it has a shelf life.
§Privileged selector — an owner-only function such as mint, blacklist, pause or fee-change. Their absence is weak evidence of safety; roughly three quarters of tokens expose none.
§Renounced — the deployer gave up admin control of the contract.
§Verified — the contract's source code is published and matches the deployed bytecode.
§CLEAN / INDETERMINATE / RUG_RISK — the collapsed verdict from the nine safety layers. INDETERMINATE means nothing failed *and* nothing substantive answered; it is never promoted to CLEAN.
Market
§Liquidity (LP) — the pooled funds that make the token tradeable. Unlocked liquidity can be withdrawn.
§Market cap — supply times price. On a young token it is a number nobody could actually realise.
§Top-10 concentration — the share of supply held by the ten largest **non-contract** wallets. Pools, routers and burn addresses are excluded because they are not people. → [Holder concentration](/holder-concentration)
§Holder velocity — how fast new wallets are arriving. A leading sign of accumulation.
§Buy/sell ratio — buys divided by sells over a window. 3:1 means three times as much buying as selling.
§Exit liquidity — being the person insiders sell into. If you are late, this is your role.
Identity
§CA — contract address. The only thing that actually identifies a token. Always verify it.
§Ticker collision — several tokens sharing one ticker. Reason number one to trade on the CA, never the symbol.
§Impersonator — credible accounts promoting a contract address that is not the token they claim. Shown at the top of a card and never filtered out.
§Deployer — the wallet that created the token. Its history predicts more than most things on a card.
§Insider allocation — supply handed to insider wallets rather than bought on the open market, plus how much of it has already been sold.
§KOL — "key opinion leader", a crypto influencer. We separate accounts with genuine reach from paid callers.
§Paid caller / signal bot — an account, usually small, that promotes tokens for money.
§Cluster — several wallets making identical trades. One decision-maker wearing several hats, not several confirmations.
Ours
§Launch alert — a card for a newly created token. The product. → [Launch alerts](/launch-radar)
§Pulse — momentum detection on tokens already trading. Runs internally; not delivered to subscribers today. → [Pulse](/pulse-radar)
§Admission gate — the paid-profile requirement a token must clear before it enters the pipeline at all. The source of most alert latency. → [Coverage](/coverage)
§Preset — a bundle of filter settings. New subscribers start on `🛡 Sellable only`.
§Strip-3 test — remove the three biggest winners from a result and see whether the edge survives. If it does not, the strategy pays out in rare lumps rather than reliably, and should be sized accordingly.
